Larry Landry and Paul McDowell are both lifelong sailors. Together with the PROSPECTOR team they have competed in many of the major ocean races around the world including the Transatlantic, Fastnet, Middle Sea, Sydney Hobart, Pacific Cup, Marblehead-Halifax, Bermuda, Annapolis-Newport and a host of other offshore races. Other sailing has included collegiate, one design, inshore and offshore handicap, and kiteboarding.

After largely competing in offshore events for the past 8+ years; this team began racing their TP52 in earnest in the 2023 season in New England. They look forward to more round the buoys and short distance racing in the GL52 next season. Although they are “just getting started” in the TP52 fleet, the team claims “modest” results so far. That said, they were first in class at the 2023 NNYC Annual regatta, third in class at the ORC East Coast Championship and first overall in the Stamford-Vineyard Race.

This mostly Corinthian crew sailed together on their previous PROSPECTOR, a Mills 68. They are a group of friends whose primary goal is to have fun racing together.
