“We try to keep it simple; our goal is to be competitive and have a good time.”
~ Jack Kitrenos

NIMBUS, based in Buffalo, NY is new to the GL52 fleet for the 2024 season. Due to their location the team will sail primarily on Lake Erie; however, they look forward to racing with the rest of the GL52 fleet whenever possible.

Owner, Jack Kitrenos is a Past Commodore of the Buffalo Harbor Sailing Club and has sailed competitively for more than 40 years aboard his numerous racing yachts. These included a Tartan 10, J/35, J/105, Beneteau 40.7, Farr 40 and currently, NIMBUS– a 2007 J/ V TP 52.

A core group of Corinthian sailors who have raced together for several years, along with a few new additions make up the cohesive crew who enjoy “sailing well and being in the mix.”  Historically, the team has been very competitive racing in Buffalo and Western Lake Erie including LYRA and Level Regatta events on Lake Ontario.

The NIMBUS crew includes, but is not limited to Eric Tanski, Erich Steadman, Rick Egloff, John Bratek, Lincoln Barber, Mike Robinson, Brian Burhans, Dave DeBoy, Chuck Nowak, Ken Meyer, Scott Campbell, Tim Wenger, Brendan Wenger, Dennis Mintus, Paul Stockdill, Paul Infantino and Tim Dykes.
